Project Templates

The goal of this request is to be able to quickly add phases and checklists to a new project. I understand phase templates. Currently when creating a new project we use the phase templates to assign all the phases, but you still have to go to each phase and then assign the checklist template to each phase.

I propose that you expand phase templates to optionally include the phase checklist templates, or that you create a "Project Template" which includes both phase templates and checklist templates, and maybe even other parts of the project like tasks.

We perform regular installations and the process doesn't vary all that much.

I can't believe there is only ONE other person who has asked for this. I just got off the phone with technical support asking about this and the person I spoke with said that the sample database they were using didn't even have any projects on it. Is this just an underdeveloped part of Tigerpaw? I'm a relatively new Tigerpaw user - were there projects before version 11?

If there were Projects before 11 did they just not get utilized that often?

In any case, YES...Project Templates PLEASE!!

OR

Simply alter the Phase templates so that when you select a phase to add to your template you can ALSO select a checklist template to assign to it.

That SEEMS like it would be a straight-forward change that shouldn't cause too much hardship on the programmers and why it wasn't included in the first place baffles me.

PLEASE for the sake of my sanity and the buy-in of my office mates to start using projects make that change on the next version

Thanks for supporting this feature request. I have passed this along to our development team.

Projects were released in CRM+. We have not prioritized another round of enhancements to the project management feature of the software. I did pass along your our team, so our stakeholders can discuss it for possible inclusion in the release after the next.

Agreed it would, it is on the list for the enhancements for v16!
