  • rep vs technician confusion

seems like Tigerpaw interchangeably uses reps and technicians.

on the Service Orders In the details TAB it shows Technician then Primary Technician. Then below it says Associated Technicians then below that it calls them reps. can you standardize this. So on Service it says Technicians above or get some clarification and understanding on when Tpaw calls them technicians vs reps. Thanks

It is confusing because all techs are reps but not all reps are techs. A tech is a rep that is part of the tech group that you define in your service order options. So usually you just see the associated technicians there. However, there may be some instances where all reps enter time spent on a service order, say the billing department personnel are required to track their time on the order to process the service order to an invoice their time would show there too. I suppose we could label the column Tech/Rep but I'm not sure it would help make that less confusing.
