  • Tigerpaw Product Roadmap

This roadmap provides a high-level overview of what's coming in future releases of the Tigerpaw Business Suite, based on regular reviews of stakeholder priorities. Our goal is to deliver features with the greatest positive impact on the most customers across all of our markets, without negatively impacting other customers.

The current top priorities are planned for the next release, while enhancements for future releases may change as stakeholder priorities evolve. In addition, we will continue to update each release with new technology and performance improvements not reflected in the roadmap.

    New Products Coming Soon
    • Tigerpaw Mobile CRM – Create and maintain accounts, contacts and opportunities from mobile devices.
    • Automated reporting – Automatically generate and send standard or custom reports at regular intervals to selected recipients.

    Coming in 14 R2
    • Contacts – Assign the same contact to multiple accounts.
    • Central billing invoices – Create one invoice from service orders for related parent/child accounts.
    • Inventory locations – Assign a different bin, minimum quantity and maximum quantity to each inventory location for a price book item.
    • Key performance indicators – Run new KPI reports, such as "Gross Profit/Margin Year Over Year" and "Recurring Revenue Year Over Year".
    • List view redesign – Implementing the latest grid technology has radically boosted functionality, resulting in a powerful custom reporting tool. More field selections, column totals and group subtotals are just a few of the new list view features.

    Roadmap for 2015*
    • Configure recurring agreements to bill before or after services are provided.
    • Batch convert time entries to billable items or directly bill unconverted time entries.
    • Create custom dashboard views.
    • Support multiple accounts on a project.
    • Create quotes for contracts and agreements.
    • Merge quotes.
    • Browse and import real-time price book information from vendors into Tigerpaw Business Suite.
    • Add an audit tab on the Service Order view to easily track the service order history.
    • Associate multiple contracts to an agreement.
    • Roll over unused hours on hourly usage contracts.
    • Assign multiple reps to accounts, opportunities, projects and service orders.
    • Tigerpaw Software will no longer support Tigerpaw Business Suite in Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 environments. Support for Tigerpaw 12 R1 will end when Tigerpaw 15 R1 is released.

    * The Roadmap section is subject to change.

Bravo for opening up roadmaps. It would be great to see them them grouped into target releases (ie by quarter or appropriate time frame). Again I applaud this transparency. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Clifton. We will definitely add target release information as soon as we are ready to commit a feature to a particular release.

          Alex,

Absolutely ... New List Views are part of 14 R2. We are working on it now. We are confident that it will pleasantly surprise users with its capabilities.

              Matt,

We would like to release Mobile CRM first before 14 R2 launch. At this time 14 R2 Beta is expected to be beginning of December.

              Regards,
              Rudy

Regarding "Browse and import real-time price book information from vendors into Tigerpaw Business Suite": This was an imperative requirement when we picked Tigerpaw in 2010, and still we picked Tigerpaw – and created our own service to solve this need.

                It
                • works directly with the Tigerpaw SQL database (I know, I know).
                • pulls/receives price lists from 10-15 vendors in various ways (http, smb, FTP retrieve or receive) and formats (XML, XLS, CSV etc.)
                • maps vendor’s categories to ours (we have a config app to set this up)
                • maps all vendors' price representation of an item to a specific item ID, with all applicable vendors entered for said item ID.
                • picks items to import/update based on a multitude of criteria (e.g. «all HP», «all MS», categories etc.)
                • uses a simple, but robust algorithm to set a default sale price based on matrices for different categories.
                • decides whether items should be "add to customer inventory" and/or "serialized" based on mfg and category.
                • imports hundreds or thousands of new items daily, and updates prices and stock counts (using the «Lead days» field) from all applicable vendors in a Tigerpaw price book of 50-100 000 items.
                • removes obsolete items (when not present from any vendor, after a grace period, and not present on any Quote/SO/Invoice/customer inventory etc.)
                • updates some vendors hourly, others daily.
Needless to say, this is a daunting task for the service and the servers it runs on, but it has been an indispensable addon for us for four years, totally removing the need to almost ever create a PB Item manually, update prices manually, log on to vendor web sites to check availability before placing orders, or ever importing price lists manually using the built-in import wizard. Our reliance upon this service is now a major deterrent from ever considering dropping Tigerpaw for a competitor.

We would be happy to share our experiences if we were to be put in touch directly with sufficiently apt personnel who were directly involved in your attempts at creating something like this.

We are still working on the release date. I do not have a firm date at this time. We will have release notes available with the release.

                          Regards,
