Workflow for Account Type change

I wanted a workflow for Account Type change.

I found this old thread:

But unless I'm missing something, this still isn't possible?

Yeah, it is hard to believe this isn't an option. What bigger thing to generate workflow / activities than an account changing type (very much like an SO status for Accounts)

Our company would benefit from this feature request as in addition to what was stated in this request, we have had account types accidentally changed and have no way of knowing until an issue arises. It
Please add to this request the ability to see the changes in the account journal entry when the account type is changed like it does for status changes. We have no way of going back to see who made the change and what the previous account type was.
