TigerPaw does not find the SQL server

I have TigerPaw on at least 10 other machines and they all work fine. I had to put an old laptop back into service. TigerPaw needed to go from v12 up to 14.1.17 to match the other machines. Now this laptop does not find the SQL server. What do I look for to get this back in action?
